The world’s biggest rainforest is being deforested for the sake of economic wealth. Marina Silva, a Brazilian environmentalist and politician together with attorneys, scientists, and indigenous people fight for the environment and work to bring justice again those who are responsible for the destruction of the worlds biggest carbon sink. Denial and ignorance from major authorities play a consequential role in the delay and repeal of regulations that protect the environment. Furthermore, the information on who the responsible partis are is public and clear but what remains to be seen is a change in the political ways and will in regards to the coexistence of a healthy environment and economic progress.
